Prizes, Rules of Conduct and Expectations

"Honea Path's Got Talent" events will run for six weeks starting Friday, July 3rd thru Friday, July 31st with the Grand Finale on Friday, August 5th, 2016. Weekly events are slated to begin at 6:30pm and finish no later than 9pm. Rained out events will be pushed into the following weeks.The winner each week will receive an award and a photo-op with pictures submitted to the local newspapers. Second place each week will be given a second opportunity to compete again the following week. Each weekly winner will be entered into the Grand Finale Show on August 7 for a winner take all grand prize of $500.00 dollars.
Each weekly winner earns the opportunity to perform a full act at our upcoming Fall Sugarfoot Festival and will receive free training and coaching (if neccessary). The Grand Finale winner will be featured as a Headliner in the Sugarfoot Festival in October.
And now.. the Rules
Rule No. 1
Let's all come out to play and have a great time!
Rule No. 2 Try to limit your
performance to 5 or 10 minutes
Rule No. 3 Please understand
that this is Family entertainment, so please be thoughtful of the
content of your performance. This goes for your attire and verbage
also. Offensive language, attire and/or music is strickly
prohibited.
Rule No. 4 Contestants must
sign in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the show.
Rule No. 5 Judges will score
on a 10 point scale.
Rule No. 6 Judges decision is
final except in case of a tie, then the audiance will vote with
their applause.
Rule No. 7 In case of
inclimate weather and a show must me cancelled, contestants will be
given the opportunity to perform in a later event.
Rule No.
8 Participants agree to indemnify and hold
harmless “Honea Path’s Got Talent”, Honea Path Merchants
Association, and/or the Town of Honea Path of any and all
responsibility involving damage, supplying materials, props,
equipment, performance or personal injury. Judges decisions are
Final!
