![]() Ok.. Here they come: the results from 'Honea Path's Got Talent' 2016 GRAND FINALE ! This is the Talent Competition, held in Dogwood Park, of all the weekly 'Got Talent' winners leading up to the Grand Prize Winner and $500 Cash Prize! Please let us introduce them to you, along with their Wonderful gifted talent, skill of music/dance and entertaining personality. Their performance, in the order as they appeared on the stage and the week they won: 2nd place Winner of Week VII: Dwight Bozeman (Due West SC) Dwight hails from Due West SC and is a Senior at Erskine College. He has been singing for years and is on three of Erksine's most prestigious choirs. Singing is his life and he is blessed to share his gift with you. I will sing “Forget you” by Celo Green. 1st place Winner of Week III: McKenzie Cowart (Ware Shoals SC) Mckenzie Cowart is 12 years old. She has performed with Greenwood Community Theater. She also plays the clarinet and has performed with her band at Erksine College. Mckenzie is also a cheer leader. She has two younger sisters who she loves very much. Mckenzie has overcame many obstacles and has been a huge help to her mother who is a single Mom and a cancer survivor. Mckenzie's favorite performer is Megan Trainor. She loves to sing songs by this artist, really loves performing and lives to put a smile on everyone's face. She will sing 'Lips are Moving' 1st place Winner of Week II: Stephanie Johnson-Rice (Anderson SC) Stephanie is the Director of a nonprofit organization entitled Poetz of MIRACLES, which allows people in the upstate to showcase their gifts once a month at the Anderson county library. There they perform dance, poetry, song, drama, comedy or any other talent they choose to present. She and her son also put on plays and sponsor other events in the community through their organization called R.A.W (Rebels Against the World). She will be performing "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry. 1st place Winner of Week V: Ella Hennessee (Easley SC) Ella is 12 years old from Easley SC. Ella started singing at 5 years old with her grandpa, J Dennis Smith. When she was 7, Ella joined the YAMs program (Young Appalachian Musicians), whose mission is to pass down Bluegrass music to the next generation. In the YAMs program Ella has learned to play guitar, mandolin, bass and fiddle. 1st place Winner of Week VI: The Kids Bluegrass Band (Due West SC) We are the "The Johnson Bentley Band" Addie (8 yr.) singing and playing Violin, Johnson (5 yr.) singing and playing Banjo (also plays Guitar) and Paisley (4 yr.) playing percussion Drum. They will be singing "This Little Light of Mine." 1st place Winner of Week I: Jessica Ticko (Anderson SC) And will be playing Piano and singing Summer time. It's a song from Porgy and Bess. She is 16 years old, been playing piano since she was 8. Jessica has performed in public since she was 12 performed in venues from Carnegie hall all the way down to Charleston SC. 1st place Winner of Week VII: Tanya Stewart (Greenville SC) I am a mother of 6 ranging from ages 4-20. Tanya loves to sing and write songs, poetry, and sometimes short stories and has been singing since the age of 5. She also works at Wells Fargo Bank. Singing..
